To do birding in a group or alone does not feel much different to me. In my home and my university campus, I go birding alone. I often do birding with field assistants. I was never exposed to any birding environment till I started to explore the wilderness of Kashmir for my Ph.D research. It was interesting to watch them, especially the raptors. Bird species including raptors, tits and thrushes were regular visitors. Since childhood, I used to observe birds around my home.
